You can access your mailbox to retrieve messages or change your greeting message from any touch-tone phone 24 hours a day. To access your mailbox, follow these steps:
- Touch-tone your own pager number. After your call is answered, you will hear a greeting message or a tone.
- Interrupt the greeting by hitting a zero [0] to access your mailbox.
- You will be prompted to enter your access code. After you key in the proper
access code, you will be told how many messages you have in your mailbox.
- You are now ready to begin retrieving your messages, update your greeting message, and/or change your access code.
To Update Your Customized Greeting
You can change your customized greeting at any time, using a touch-tone phone. Access your mailbox by following the steps outlined above. Key [1][1] to transfer to the greeting message mode, you will hear "You may now change your greeting message":
- To record a new greeting message, key [3] then [0]. After the tone, speak clearly and record your new message. As soon as you have finished, key a [1] to stop the recording. The previous greeting will now have been replaced with your new greeting message.
- To play back your greeting, key [4][0].
- To play a help message, key [*]. You will then hear a description of each key used to enter greeting message commands.
- When you have finished with the update custom greeting mode, either key [1][0] to transfer back to voice mailbox mode, or key [#] and hang up to disconnect from the system entirely.

Retrieving Your Messages
After accessing your mailbox, use the following commands to retrieve your messages:
- Key a [3] to play the newest message
- Choose one of the following commands to access the other messages
in your mailbox, or to delete messages.
- Key a [3] repeatedly to play successive messages, from the newest
to the oldest.
- Key a [4] to play the oldest message, repeat to play successively
newer messages.
- Key a [5] to replay the same message you just heard.
- Key a [6] to play all messages from newest to oldest w/ a time and
date stamp.
- Key a [7] to play the time and date of the message.
- Key a [2] to delete the message you just heard.
- Key an [8] to disable your pager (also key [8] to re-enable a disabled
pager).
- Key [1][0] to hear how many voice mail messages are in your mailbox.

Changing Access Code
To change your access code, key [1][7] to go into update mode, you then will
hear the message "You may now change your access code".
Use the following commands to change your code:
- After the message "You may now change your access code" key [3] then key in the digits of your new access code, then press the [#] key. If you have correctly entered your access code, the system will confirm it with you.
- Access code length is restricted to 8 digits.
- You can verify your current access code while in access code mode by pressing [4].
- Key [1][0] to go back to voice messages.

Forwarding Voice Messages
Key [1][3] to enter forward message mode (for sending a copy of a voice message to another Bailey’s customer who has voice mail service). When you are in forward message mode you will hear the message "you may now forward your current message":
- Key [2] to restore the original message
- Key [5] to play the message
- Key [6] to forward the message
- Key [7] to prepend the message (i.e. add to the front of the original message)
- Key [8] to record a new message
- Key [9] to append the message (i.e. add to the end of the original message)
- Key [1][0] to go back to voice messages
- Key [*] to hear a help message at any time
